Physiography, climate and rivers are included in physical aspects. A number of highest and most beautiful mountain ranges are located in this region, Kanchanjangha, Lamtang, Mahalangur, Ganesh, Annapurna, Dhawalagiri and Kanjirowa are some of the major ranges. Sagarmatha(Mount Everest) is the highest peak of the world. Sixteen out of the seventy-five districts of Nepal are located in this region. Taplejung, Dolakha, mustang, Dolpa and Darchula are some of the districts. The Himalayan Region can be divided into(1) Major Himalayas, (2) Inner Himalayan and (3) Marginal Himalayas. These are the sub-regions. The diversity of ecosystem can be studied on the basis of these sub-regions.
